Quality Engineer – Aerospace – Manchester – £35,000

Are you an experienced Quality Engineer working within a machine shop environment? If so, you are reading in the right place!

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing design & manufacturing business who supply precision machined components directly in to various industry sectors including Aerospace and Automotive.


As a Quality Engineer you will be working as a part of the Quality Engineering department reporting to the Head of Quality. You will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Customer & Supplier problem investigation and resolution
  • Generating & reviewing operation documents (Procedures, Quality Plans, Process FMEAs, Control Plans, Inspection Plans, SOPs etc.)
  • Organising and providing training and development exercises
  • Analysing data and making appropriate recommendations and improvement plans
  • Reporting departmental KPI’s
  • Auditing both internally and supply chain
  • Handling Product & Process approvals and authorisation
  • Managing 3rd Party Audits


Ability to interpret technical engineering drawings

  • Knowledge & understanding of AS9100
  • Familiar with machining processes
  • FAIRS, PPAP experience
  • 7 Basic Quality Tools
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Customer and supplier facing
  • Excellent communication – both written & verbal


Monday – Thursday 7.45am – 4.30pm

Friday 7.45am – 12.20pm


Along with an early Friday finish this opportunity comes with a salary of up to £35,000, 2% pension contribution and free staff parking.

QHSE Engineer – Mechanical Engineering – Brighouse – £28,000 – £32,000

 Hours of work:
8.30am – 4.30pm Monday – Thursday
8.30am – 4.00pm Friday


As the QHSE Engineer you will report directly to the QHSE Manager, responsible for,

  • Support the company Quality Management System in all areas including review and update of key documents and procedures, Internal Audits & Calibration.
  • Assist with all Corrective Action Requests arising from NCR`s & Audits / Inspections.
  • Evaluate Information/Reports and report trends to the Quality Manager / Line Managers on quality and safety trends.
  • Assist in the production QHSE related information to client qualification and/or approval.
  • Provide assistance in providing documentation in relation to renewal and re-qualification of product management and/or repair contracts.
  • Assist in the production and collation of all product related documentation.
  • Provide holiday / cover where appropriate for other production control staff.
  • Liaison with suppliers & 3rd party Inspectors.



  • You must have experience working as a Quality Engineer within a mechanical engineering environment.
  • Ideally the successful candidate will be a Time Served Engineer, however not essential.
  • Ideally experience working to IS014001 and 18001
  • Material traceability experience
  • Self-driven and forward thinking

Quality Manager – Leeds

Salary: £50,000 + Car + Bonus

Along with an excellent salary package of £50,000 plus a car or car allowance this opportunity comes with 6% bonus, healthcare & company pension.

The Role:

As Quality Manager you will be responsible for the End of Line Test/QC and Quality/Warranty engineers.


·Co-ordinate and standardise quality control procedures and processes.

·Establish operating budgets; monitor the cost, effectiveness, and reliability of quality assurance activities to optimise resources, prioritise spending, and ensure that targets and standards are met.

·Evaluate the results of quality assurance activities and prepare recommendations for the Managing Director about significant changes that need to be made to the organisation’s manufacturing processes and business systems.

·Liaise with functional and operational area managers to develop schedules, project plans and cost estimates for implementing new activities, procedures or methods to improve the quality and performance of the organisation’s raw materials, in-process products, finished products and business systems.

·Research, evaluate and recommend investments in technology, capital equipment, systems or other assets.

·Working with Purchasing and Product development, liaise with external suppliers (for example, equipment vendors and raw material suppliers) to ensure that their products meet the organisation’s quality standards and that the organisation receives satisfactory standards of service.

·Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of quality focussed professionals to ensure that quality assurance activities meet established targets and standards.

·Define the appropriate and adequate procedures and measures of controls for the process and satisfy client’s expectation by meeting the quality standards.


·An engineering qualification is required – HND/HNC or above

·Team management experience

·Budget experience

·Exposure to customers – managing potential issues and risks

·Audits and standards experience

·Experience dealing with Low volume – highly specified products
